These hounds are very small; they are about 4,5 kg of weight and are about 30 cm high. Its neck is long, graceful and lean, just like a pony's. As there is no hair, except on the feet, top of head, and the tuft at the tail, its skin is soft to the touch.

There are two types inside the breed. The first type is hairless sand the second has hair on its feet that’s why the hound needs grooming regular especially when it sheds. The wooly undercoat becomes matted if neglected; bathing is also necessary and must be regular. When searching to buy dogs for show, a rescue isn't suggested, but find a reputable kennel.
